All 230 drivers recorded in the thirteen TRENDWISE reports, placed by how hard they hit the incumbents at each stage and how uncertain they are. Bubble size is the value captured at that stage of that chain. Hover a bubble to read the driver; click it to set it aside.

How to read this map
Impact on incumbents (vertical)
Impact × exposure × persistence from the TRENDWISE report, each scored 1 to 5, rescaled to 0–100. It measures how much the driver moves the position of the firms that hold that stage today, in either direction. Switch the impact axis to “Signed” to put tailwinds above zero and headwinds below.
Relative uncertainty (horizontal)
An index from 0 to 100 built from four recorded facts: whether TRENDWISE tagged the driver a critical uncertainty (45 points), how confident the research was (up to 25), how far out the horizon is (up to 15), and how contested the driver’s theme is across chains, meaning how evenly it splits between headwind and tailwind (up to 15). It ranks drivers against each other; it is not a probability.
Bubble size: value capture
Value capture is the Explorer’s 1–5 score for how much of the margin in a chain is earned at that stage. It matters because a driver that lands on a high-capture stage moves more money. Scores here run from 2 to 5 and bubble area grows linearly across that range.
Placement
Many drivers share the same scores, so each bubble takes the free spot nearest its true position and clusters fan out sideways more than up and down. Faint horizontal lines mark the true impact levels, and the readout gives exact figures. Positions never change when you filter. Viewpoint throughout is the stage incumbents, not the OEM.
